- Worth the money!
Love this book! Totally worth the money! The line drawings along with the actual
images helped me a lot. It makes it easier to decipher where everything is located.
I’m using it to study for my Peds registry. Amy 18/07/2018 (Amazon.com) - The field of pediatric sonography is endlessly fascinating, with rare pathologies seldom seen in adults, to the sometimes exquisite imaging do the subjects being smaller and thinner (not always ;). The book covers the breadth of the specialty with tips and tricks along the way, plus stunning sonographic examples! It has endless references to publications which the field draws its practice applications from. It is written by a sonographer for sonographers and can easily be used as a study guide for the ARDMS Pediatric specialty registry. All in all I would recommend this text for those starting out in pediatrics or to seasoned professionals that want a department reference that doesn’t cost $300 PROS: Reasonable price, very well referenced, superior sonographic images CONS: Could use a better designed textbook cover. @Practical Sonography 30/6/2017
- Allison is an experienced pediatric sonographer and a recognized sono-educator. While “Pediatric Ultrasound – A Practical Guide” might not be a typical POCUS-oriented text, it is certainly worth your time. It takes you through the whole spectrum of the most common pediatric ultrasound application, and spells out how to get it right! From technical tips, through great images to mini-reviews of the most pertinent literature. It’s a must-have for anyone who scans kids! sonokids.wordpress.com 09/02/2015
- This is an excellent iBook to have on your iPad in the ultrasound department. It is easy to use and the text covers a comprehensive list of examinations. The images are clear and well labelled making this a very practical resource. Each section has information on scanning technique, lovely line drawings and high quality ultrasound images. Most sonographers would appreciate the recommended images which should be documented and the normal measurements values. A very practical reference to use in the general or specialised imaging department and particularly useful in this format Sonotutor – 25/09/2014 (iBook store)
- A well written, easy to navigate book. This second edition has updated information, images and line drawings with excellent interactivity. The addition of personal notes facility will benefit all students and experienced Sonographers alike. Additionally, POC operators will find the clear instructions and images a bonus. To be recommended to all those using ultrasound in paediatric environments Sedaiu – 04/08/2013 (iBook Store)
- This book is a welcome addition to the student and tutor sonographer’s library. The book has an easy to use format with comprehensive line diagrams that accompany high quality labelled ultrasound images of pediatric ultrasound examinations encountered in the imaging department. Protocol examples and a thorough literature review of each aspect of pediatric imaging are also included for those wishing to delve deeper into pediatric sonography and imaging techniques. - I have enjoyed reading through your book. The content is very well presented in a “clinical sense”. It reminds me of the old Saunders books which used to present clinical problems and then ultrasound solutions rather than present a range of pathologies in a clinically disconnected pattern. The book is big in scope. Well done. Martin 23/04/2013
